Elana "Rachelle" Jennings-Lotter Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Elana "Rachelle" Jennings-Lotter, age 40, passed away on May 21, 2022. She was the daughter of Evangeline Inez Lotter of Washington, DC. She grew up in Washington, DC and was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. Rachelle was an athlete, a comedian, and a mother. She found joy in soccer, swimming, running, comedy, movies, and food. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. She had a special talent with impersonations and theatrical delivery, and meticulously studied skits by Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, and Jim Carrey to perform for her friends and family. She was energetic, loving, outgoing, and introspective. Her positive energy was infectious, and her disposition was always to be happy. She was a beautiful woman with an authentic soul that was warm to everyone she encountered. She often told people to have a blessed day. Rachelle was loved. She loved her family and friends and genuinely cared for others and the burdens they carried in life. Her greatest life accomplishments occurred in 2006 when she gave birth to her son Jacob Jose in El Paso, Texas and in 2016, to her daughter Sarah Angeline in Washington, DC. We take comfort in knowing that she is now resting in peace. Rachelle is survived by her two children Jacob Jose Lotter and Sarah Angeline Lotter, her mother Evangeline Inez Lotter, and her brother and sister David Evan Lotter and Leslie Alison Lotter. She is also survived by her sister Michelle Katharine Anne Boyd and husband Jonathan Graham Boyd, and their children Isabella Grace and Ava Archer.
